Keep counting when the beat disappears
Batapan is a free browser timing game about sliding a little piece of butter just as a toast character tumbles forward. Learn the tempo from the opening numbers and sounds, then keep the countdown going in your head when the cues vanish.
How to play
- Try the optional practice round or start the scored rounds.
- Use the visible numbers and sounds to learn that round’s tempo.
- When the cues disappear, count silently and tap once on zero. You can also click or press Space on a computer.
- Aim for the middle of the toast’s belly. Early sends butter toward its feet; late sends it toward its face.
Practice and five scored rounds
Practice keeps the numbers and sounds going through zero and does not affect your score. Each scored round starts at 5, 10, 15 or 20, with a changing tempo. The challenge is keeping track of the hidden beats until the toast falls.
Before you play
Check your device volume: sound is part of the timing cues. You can toggle effects in the game. Settings and scores are not saved, and gameplay data is not sent to a server. Bluetooth audio may add latency and change how the timing feels.
